CG unveils thanks and remembrance plaque at Toronto City Hall
On Sunday, September 11, 2011 Consul General Kevin M. Johnson spoke at Toronto City Hall’s 10th anniversary public commemorative event.
He thanked Ontario for its support and said the day was one to “mourn incredible losses but also to commemorate the heroism of those who responded to the attacks.” It was a particularly significant comment given Toronto Emergency Services was hosting the event with the support of the Toronto Police and Fire Services. Many members of the public were very moved and came to have their picture taken with the Consul General standing with the plaque thanking the citizens of Ontario.
