Entry for all Visa and American Citizen Services (ACS) is at 225 Simcoe Street, NOT 360 University Avenue. U.S. Consulate Toronto consular work hours are Monday – Friday; visa and ACS are closed on both Canadian/U.S. holidays and weekends.

Visas are by appointment only, available at www.nvars.com.

  • 416-595-1700, switchboard operator, who has no visa, immigration, passport or citizen services information.
  • 900-451-2778, visa inquiries, caller pays.

All visitors and their personal items must undergo a comprehensive security screening via walk-through and hand-held metal detectors prior to entry. Visitors refusing security screening are prohibited from entry. Please do not bring the following prohibited items to the consulate as there is no storage in or outside of the building:

  • Cell phones;
  • Food and beverages;
  • Luggage larger than a purse or briefcase;
  • Weapons, sharp objects or tools of any kind;
  • Electronic, battery operated or recording equipment of any kind to include laptops,tape/CD/MP3 players, pagers, keyless remotes, etc.;
  • Oversized strollers.
